Women's Bible Studies

 

All TPC women are invited to attend either one of two Bible studies.  These Bible studies meet as follows:

  • Second Mondays, at 7:00 p.m., in the Library.  The final meeting of the year will be held on June 9. 

  • Second Tuesdays, at 9:30 a.m., in the Fireside Lounge.  This group will not be meeting during the summer.  Meetings will resume in the fall.

This year the Monday evening group is continuing their study of the book of Genesis. The Monday group is being led by Raye Ritchie.  The Tuesday morning group is using the Horizons Bible Study, “Above and Beyond — Hearing God's Call in Jonah and Ruth.”   The Tuesday group is being led by the Rev. Dr. Rebecca Prichard and the Rev. Lynn Stone.  If you need a copy of the Horizons study, please contact the church office.

 

 

Women's Mission Project

 

We are continuing to participate in a project that helps fund Bible correspondence courses that are offered through the Tecate Christian Mission near San Diego.  The Mission is located just north of the Mexican border. Spanish-speaking people in both Mexico and the USA have the opportunity to study the Bible in their own language.

 

Please continue to save your cancelled stamps and picture postcards.  Foreign and commemorative stamps have the greatest worth, but all stamps have some value.  The postcards are always in demand.  Collectors buy the stamps and cards, and proceeds from the sales are forwarded to the Tecate Mission.  When clipping stamps from the envelopes, try to leave at least a ¼ inch border all around the stamp.  If there are multiple stamps, don’t try to separate them; leave them together.  Regarding picture postcards, please do not remove the stamps from the cards; leave the card with stamp intact.

 

You can bring your stamps and cards when you come to church on Sundays.  Just drop them in the yellow box that is on the Scrip Table.  Thank you for sharing in this mission outreach.  If you have any questions please call Linda Welch (714) 538-1772.
