• I’d like to meet more people at TPC, but I’m just not sure how.

• I know there are lots of fellowship groups that meet, but I don’t know how to get involved with them.

• I miss the days of potluck suppers and getting to know my fellow churchgoers.

• TPC’s fellowship events don’t happen on a predictable schedule, so it’s hard for me to fit them into my calendar.

 

Sound familiar? If so, we have the answer for you: Second Saturdays! On the second Saturday of every month there will be a fellowship opportunity. And because there are many different interests among our congregation, those opportunities will take three forms, each happening once a quarter:

1. All-church gatherings at TPC: These will take place the first month of each quarter (January, April, July, October) and will usually be very informal, family-friendly events at church. The first one, a game night and potluck supper, will take place Saturday, January 14. Everyone is welcome!

2. Dinners for Eight:  These more-intimate groups have been very popular over the past years since they were instituted at TPC. Groups are assembled in January (you can sign up at the Fellowship table on the patio), then it will be suggested that they meet the second Saturday of the second month of each quarter (February, May, August, November). If you miss the signup opportunity, you can still get in on the fun later.

3. All-church outings off-campus: The third month of each quarter (March, June, September, December) will bring a fun fellowship event away from TPC. Some of the most popular outings from years past include dinner theatres, the Hollywood Bowl, an Angels game, and the ever-popular Christmas Progressive Dinner.

The Fellowship Committee has also created an easy-to-read calendar that not only shows the upcoming Second Saturday events, but also provides an at-a-glance understanding of the various small groups and other fellowship opportunities that exist at TPC and when they meet, along with contact information for each of them. Look for it at the Fellowship Table on the patio.
