Vacation Bible School - 2011 June 27 – July 1
We had 103 children attend Vacation Bible School this year. Our staff offered their diverse gifts to insure our kids had a fantastic week. We listened to great stories from the Bible, made cool crafts, sang fun songs, played zany games and made many new friends! We even had a bee keeper come and teach us about how bees work together in community. A big thank you goes out to each member of our dedicated staff. Thanks to all who supported this year’s program with supplies and prayers.
2011 VBS Mission Project: Two Pear Trees
We’ve been touched by the generosity and creativity of our kids as they contributed throughout the week to our mission project for Habitat for Humanity. Our goal for this mission project is $800. As of Friday morning of VBS week we had collected $656 which will more than cover the two Aristocrat Pear trees. “Freecycling” is a word that
comes from free and recycling. It happens when people give away
useable items they no longer want. Not only does it keep stuff out of landfills,
but freecycling also saves resources — and doesn’t cost a thing! Help us be
extra-green this year and check out our Living Giving tree on the patio. You can
contribute items from your household, like cardboard egg cartons, used crayons
or a bag of fruit from the trees in your yard. It’s a beautiful way to connect
with the children and adults who will be a part of this year’s VBS ministry.
