Sunday School

Sunday School is offered at the 9:30 a.m. service for  nursery through 8th grade.  The curriculum used in the Sunday School is called Seasons of the Spirit.  Each week Sunday School lessons for the children are based on the same lectionary text used in adult worship in the sanctuary.  Children begin by attending worship in the sanctuary with their parents.  Following the children's sermon they go to their Sunday School classrooms.

Adult Education

During the regular school year, adult education classes are normally scheduled following the worship service during the 11:00 a.m. hour.  The classes address a wide variety of thought-provoking topics and vary in length from a single session to as much as six to eight weeks.  This enables people to attend classes that are of particular interest to them and as their schedules allow.  Classes are also occasionally scheduled at other times during the week for special topics.  More information is available about current and upcoming Adult Education Classes.

There are also opportunities for men and women to participate in small groups that meet on a regular basis.  Groups meet as follows:

For women:

Daytime group--Presbyterian Women, second Tuesday of the month, 9:30 a.m.

Evening group--Presbyterian Women, second Monday of the month, classroom 102 at 7:00 p.m.

For men:

Covenant groups--

LOGOS

During the school year, TPC has a Wednesday afternoon program known as LOGOS for children and youth.  Over 35 of the children and youth from the congregation and the surrounding community participate in Bible study, choirs, handbell choirs, recreation, and an evening meal.  A large number of adults from the congregation support this program by serving as teachers, recreation leaders, choir helpers, cooks, and dinner table parents.  Interested persons can read more about upcoming LOGOS events.

Save a Life!  Brush Up on Your CPR/AED Skills

On Saturday, September 19, we offered free CPR/AED training  Ushers were urged to attend, but so were parents, grandparents and babysitters.  This year's class included a thorough training on care for adults and also had specifics about offering help to children and infants.  Rob Pryce conducted our training.  He's very knowledgeable and made the time fly by.  Watch for information about next year's class.
