Adult Education Classes

Joe Price will lead a six-week Adult Education series on the parables beginning on Sunday, September 19.  As images and stories, the parables of Jesus invite our interpretation and application.  As we seek to understand the multiple levels of their meaning, we will first consider what parables are and how Jesus used them in teaching his disciples and in interacting with the Pharisees.  We will also examine their literary contexts, or how the gospel writers understood them.  And finally, we will explore what they mean for us and how we might apply them to our lives as 21st-century Christians.

These classes will be held in the Fireside Lounge, beginning at 11:00 a.m.  Classes are open to all adults.
