June 2010:

Approved the members of the staff for Vacation Bible School
Approved the payment of the second quarter general mission commitment to The Presbytery of Los Ranchos
Approved Jeff Lyngaas as a congregation-at-large member of the Mission Committee for the remainder of 2010
Approved a commitment by Tustin Presbyterian Church to serve as a host church in the program of Family Promise of Orange County
Approved the membership of Tustin Presbyterian Church in the Tustin Chamber of Commerce
Agreed to extend an invitation to the Irvine Taiwanese Presbyterian Church to join Tustin Presbyterian Church in a combined worship service on World Communion Sunday on October 3, 2010
Approved the expenditure of some of the interest from the Dorothy Czapla Fund to purchase red paraments for the sanctuary
Agreed to cancel the August stated session meeting

May 2010:

Approved an ordination service for Robin Clardy as Minister of Word and Sacrament on July 25, pending her successful examination by The Presbytery of Los Ranchos
Approved the plans for the 2010 Summer Splash program for the youth
Approved Grace Schuth as a member of the Child Protection Screening Team
Approved an adult education presentation by Julia Thorne focusing on immigration issues
Heard a presentation on the Family Promise program that provides homeless families with housing and other services to help them get back on their feet

April 2010:

Received five adults and three youth as members of TPC
Approved a youth group mission event at Thomas House Shelter in Garden Grove
Approved Gerry Herter, Janette Ditkowsky, Sue Currie, Bill Groves, and David Young as members and John Turner as an advisor for an Endowment Committee for TPC
Approved commissioners from TPC to the remaining presbytery meetings in 2010
Approved the person who will perform the review of the 2009 TPC financial records

February 2010:

Approved the scheduling of two worship services on Easter Sunday, one at 9:30 a.m. and one at 11:15 a.m.
Approved congregation-at-large members of several committees
Approved Baobab Blast by Augsburg Fortress as the curriculum for 2010 Vacation Bible School

January 2010:

Approved the 2010 budget for Tustin Presbyterian Church
Approved a revised formula for the calculation of the basic mission commitment to The Presbytery of Los Ranchos
Approved congregation-at-large members of the Finance Committee for 2010
Approved a confirmation class during Lent taught by the Rev. Lynn Stone
Elected commissioners from TPC to the February 25 meeting of The Presbytery of Los Ranchos
Approved the terms of call for 2010 for the members of the TPC pastoral staff and directed that they be presented for action at the annual meeting of the congregation on January 31

December 2009:

Approved the payment of the fourth quarter general mission commitment to The Presbytery of Los Ranchos
Approved the members who will be authorized to sign checks for TPC during 2010
Approved the offering counters for 2010
Scheduled the ordination and installation of elders and deacons during worship on January 17, 2010
Elected Richard Loeble as clerk of session for 2010
Elected Ron Askew as church treasurer for 2010
Elected the following corporate officers for 2010:

November 2009:

Approved the payment of the second and third quarter general mission commitments to The Presbytery of Los Ranchos
Approved the formation of a TPC endowment committee
Directed the Clerk of Session to request from The Presbytery of Los Ranchos a payment schedule for the 2010 per capita apportionment in which the per capita would be paid in six equal installments from January through June
Received the report on the review of the 2008 financial records for Tustin Presbyterian Church that indicated that the records were in order
Approved the elders-elect and deacons-elect for ordination and/or installation
Approved the renewal of the Parish Associate relationship between the Rev. Dr. Kass Kassouni and Tustin Presbyterian Church for 2010
Approved a visit by the youth to Cranbrook Senior Living Center to socialize with the residents and make holiday cards
Approved session committee assignments for 2010

October 2009:

Approved the hiring of Emmi Bailey as the Membership, Care, and Communications Secretary
Approved the scheduling of Advent Afternoon on Sunday, November 29

September 2009:

Received one new member
Approved job descriptions for the Administrative Secretary, Church Secretary, Lead Child Care Worker, and Child Care Assistant
Approved the hiring of Erika Arendts as the Lead Child Care Worker
Called the 2009 fall congregational meeting for October 11 at the end of the worship service with the purpose of electing church officers
Approved the borrowing of funds from the capital campaign to pay for the project to replace the sewer line from the sanctuary building with the loan to be repaid over a 15 year period
Approved the capitalization of the expenses for the new sliding glass doors between the Fellowship Hall and the Fireside Lounge and the office upgrades
Approved the purchase of a television with videocassette and DVD capabilities and a cart using funds from the Christian Education Interest account
Approved the Sunday School teachers and the LOGOS staff members for the 2009-2010 school year
Approved the scheduling of the Christmas Eve Service of Lessons and Carols at 9:00 p.m.
Approved the scheduling of a worship service on October 24 with the focus to be the care of creation and participation in a witness coordinated by 350.org

July 2009:

Approved the communion schedule for 2010
Approved the celebration of communion at the 2009 men’s retreat
Designated Helen Anderson, Sue Currie, and Gail Greek as the members of the Child Protection Screening Team
Approved the continued use of the Seasons of the Spirit curriculum during the September 2009 – August 2010 school year
Approved the payment of the second quarter general mission commitment to The Presbytery of Los Ranchos
Approved an informational brochure concerning memorial services at Tustin Presbyterian Church
Authorized the Property Committee to complete agreements with Mountain Peak Charter School and River Springs Charter School for the use of TPC facilities during the 2009/2010 school year
